I look around me and I think I really don’t live a very interesting life.

But then every once in a while I stop to think about the time I bathed an elephant in a river in Thailand; hitch-hiked in a foreign country with a tall, dark, and handsome Dutchman after climbing down from the roof top where we were singing worship songs under a star-lit sky; cradled in my arms the gypsy babies whom had been abandoned in the sewers of Bucharest; miraculously survived a boda boda wipeout having flown over the driver’s head and passed out cold on a Ugandan highway only to limp away bleeding into the red dust; or dined with French nobility in their family castle one Christmas in Normandy, sitting next to a nun who worked with Mother Teresa; or married my own English prince after a fairy tale romance.

And it wasn’t until two days before my 27th birthday that I realized I grew up in the home of an addict living a double life…

I may have an interesting story or two to tell after all.
